Catriona Watt

Area Manager , NHS Highland

I am Tina Watt and my role in Argyll and Bute HSCP is an Area Manager for Mid Argyll Community Hospital and Integrated Care Centre (MACHICC). I am responsible for the community hospital and all the adult general services within it as well as outreach into community services.

I have lived and worked in A&B since I was 18 years old and have raised 2 children along with my husband. I joined the NHS at the age of 18 as a nursing assistant and was one of the first cohort of nurses in Scotland to train with the Open University

The local GPs provide the medical care to the patients in the 15 bedded ward as well as the non bypass accident and emergency. The local GPs provide clinical input to the virtual ward.

We are privileged to work and live in our community and I feel this is what drives us all as health and social work teams to deliver the best of service we can to the people of Mid Argyll.

The Mid Argyll virtual ward demonstrates positive integrated working practices which is something I am truly proud of.
