Dr Farnaz Nickpour is Reader in Inclusive Design & Human-Centred Innovation at the University of Liverpool and Director of the Inclusionaries Lab for Design Research inclusionaries.com, focused on advancing design-led methodologies and transdisciplinary collaborations in healthcare research. A leading voice in “Design in the Edges”, Farnaz has over 15 years’ experience pioneering inclusive, human-centred, participatory and systemic approaches across healthcare and mobility with third and public sector, including the NHS.

Her award-winning research explores unmet needs, patient/system-important outcomes and excluded populations through cross-sector collaborations in med-tech, palliative care, and child health technology design. Farnaz co-leads Health and Care Systems at the Civic Health Innovation Labs, holds advisory roles across public and private sectors, and is External Examiner at the Royal College of Art and University of Brighton.
